Our Story

It all started with Charlotte, when she was 11 years old. With beads, wire, and a lot of creativity, she made her own jewelry – first for herself, then for family and friends. But Charlotte wanted more. That spark grew into something special: she wanted to start selling these pieces.

Mom Silvie believed in that dream, and secretly she also felt the entrepreneurial itch. Soon, we realized that making jewelry ourselves was time-consuming and labor-intensive, and that time was often lacking. When stainless steel jewelry started gaining popularity, we saw our chance. We invested in a first small collection of stainless steel jewelry, and in April 2022, we officially launched as Jewels by Charlis, marking the beginning of an adventure full of growth and passion.

The first year was primarily a learning experience. Because starting a business doesn't mean you're instantly well-known – we had to work hard to find our place. But thanks to TikTok, a lot changed. About a year later, our success skyrocketed. The hunger for more – more fun items, more variety, more ways to surprise our customers – grew steadily. We expanded with a small collection of affordable fashion, and what started small gradually grew larger and larger.

After years of growth and building a wonderful community, it felt like time for a new step.

Since January 1, 2026, we've been known as Charlis – a shorter, more powerful name that perfectly matches who we've become. The name is a combination of Char from Charlotte and lis from Silvie, a symbol of our collaboration and the family business we've built together. The same passion, the same quality, but with a fresh, refined look.

Today, Charlotte's focus is on her studies, which demand a lot of time and energy. Achieving a good degree is currently her priority. Although she would love to be more active in the business – especially in content creation – her busy study schedule leaves little room for it. Besides school and business, Charlotte is also making a name for herself as a young influencer and dreams of a modeling career. Feel free to follow her on her personal TikTok: @bycharlis_.

Meanwhile, Silvie manages the daily operations of the webshop: from purchasing the most beautiful collections to sales, packaging, accounting, and so much more. From live sales sessions on TikTok to selecting each new item – everything is done with care and attention.

In addition, Silvie works part-time as a care assistant for people with disabilities, with fixed night shifts spread over about eight nights a month. Due to this combination of work and the webshop, it's not always possible to go live on TikTok, but when we do, we give it our all! We are a webshop that is available 24/7, so even when we are not active on TikTok, business continues as usual.

But the most important thing of all? You. Our customers have brought us to where we are today, and for that, we are incredibly grateful. Your trust, support, and enthusiasm give us the energy to keep going and growing every single day.
